World Art News Covers Lapidarist NFT Drop

World Art News published a feature on Lapidarist — our third NFT collection with Shantell Martin, released through Nifty Gateway in June 2022.

The article covered the three works in the collection — Absence, Presence, and Transience — and the collaborative process behind them. I spoke about the generative 3D approach: using exploded primitives and virtual physics to form the base structures, keeping the design from becoming overly conscious, then sharing files so Shantell could decorate them with animated versions of her drawings.

World Art News positioned the work within the broader context of the NFT landscape, noting the fifteen-year creative relationship between Shantell and me and how our contrasting styles — her gestural line work and my systematic, generative approach — produce something neither of us would arrive at alone.
